  1. Your 7th photo is by far my favorite. The body of the subject is bent so that his torso is in the top horizontal third of the photo while the rest of him is in the right vertical third. I've never though of using the rule of thirds vertically and horizontally at the same time. Also, another thing is the quality of light. Even though he's blurry, you can see how the light from the fridge casts helps to create shadows that further define his arm. Great job!

  2. The stove top was very nice with many compositional elements I think worked. the swirls create a pattern and the light adds a sense of glow with the quality of light, contrast because of your dark background and with that being said a possibility of isolating the subject. this is your strongest image.

  4. I think the use of light in your shots are well executed. The picture of the guy near the refrigerator is very well-composed, and I enjoy the blur and positioning. Your use of compositional elements in these pictures is on point. The isolating the subject pics make your pieces very strong. Well done.

  5. The 3rd and 4th photos show a great use of contrast between the subject and background. The photograph of the burner stands out to me, I hope you didn't have to turn the oven on too high. The kind of swirling nature I feel adds to the message of a song and how there can be a spiral upwards and then downwards of how a "good time" can go.

  6. I think img 7 is the strongest image, utilizing all of the right technical elements (motion and contrast specifically) to evoke the power of the song.

  7. The use of blurred motion is really effective in the photo with the fridge. I also agree with Jenna that image 7 is your strongest!

  8. The blur motion used in the pictures works really well and complements the song. The isolated subject pictures are also really intriguing and the composition of the last one is really dynamic!

  9. Great use of light in your photos. The blurred motion was very successful and I also think you did a great job isolating the subject.

  10. The narrative in your photos shines through. Good use of blurred motion in the fridge pic, and the tea or coffee has great detail and contrast.

  11. You did a great job in incorporating many different types of lines in your images. The last photo has an interesting combination of diagonal lines from the chair, the lines of the floors, and the sneakers (which help lead the viewer back to the chair). I think that the toaster oven photos could have been a bit more successful if you had rotated them slightly so that the rack was perfectly horizontal.

  12. these are gorgeous photos, there is a strong and pleasing light source in almost all of these photos which contrast with a very acute sense of darkness (i.e. 4,7,8). also love the blur motion in photo 7 as it is very conceptually intriguing. great job
