The light in some of these photos is stunning. Especially the 4th and the 5th image - the light is so soft and it works really nicely with the foliage! You might consider making a diptych of these 2 photos.
i love that used the CD as a means to photograph reflections that we otherwise would not have seen. you should really keep this up i thought it was really interesting.
I think the photos with the DVD provide a really interesting view on this juxtaposition between machine and nature (or with the fence, machinery in different aspects). I also like the idea of the reflection and if you're thinking of content, what meaning would the DVD have with reflected images together and separately. (what the items mean together and separate).
Hannah, These are really well done. I appreciate all of the creative tactics you used to achieve your compositions, I can see the design elements in most of your images and I believe that you were deliberate about it. You shots with the DVD are genius, what a great way to capture pattern, contrast and isolation. There is also good use of leading lines, and patterns. Textures and symmetry can be more evident but that is something to work towards for next week. Overall good job.
I really like the DVD one and the reflections. Very intriguing compositions, and I also like the effects !!
ReplyDeleteLove the warping effect that the sunglasses had on the reflection. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteYour symmetrical compositions have a sense of dynamism, especially image 5 with the branches eminating away from the model's face.
ReplyDeleteso innovative with your cd disk using! that moped pic is so beautiful. the simple scenes with a twist are so appealing to me.

ReplyDeleteThe dvd brought a unique quality to your sets, and it helped bring out interesting compositions. Also the patterns you photographed were interesting.
ReplyDeleteSuper innovative using a DVD for reflecting. I really enjoy your 5th photo. She seems so content with just floating through life.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I love the reflections in both the cds and the sunglasses!
ReplyDeleteTHE 5TH PHOTO IS MY FAVORITE!!! SUCH A GOOD JOB WELL DONE! YOU COMPOSED AND MANIPULATED THESE MAASTERFULLY.
