  2. Loved the chopping up of the composition. My fave was the chopped up hand! It made things that much more interesting to look at.

  4. Image 3 looks like the horse in the foreground becomes the horizon line. You have a very well thought out sense of composition and asymmetry.

  8. The floral backgrounds create a nice noise-juxtaposition to the subjects placed in front of them. Additionally, the geometry of the middle photo is quite nice.

  9. hi Rachel !! I’m obsessed with your collaged photos. They’re so well composed and compliment the composition extremely well. All of these seem super well thought out and have such amazing formal elements and conceptual composition.

  12. Marina, These images are very exciting. They are not very obvious in a particular compositional element but I can tell you are working with them. Your use of shallow depth of field to isolate your subject works, but I encourage you to try isolating your subject in a larger spacial plane. Great textures and use of depth of field, leading lines and symmetry. I wish contrast was used a bit more dramatically, many of your images are very grey, with no tones of extreme white of black, thats something to work on as well. The editing technique that you used in a ew of the pictures where you repeated the image, its unclear what your desired effect was. I think if you continue to use those kinds of tools, try a different composition. Overall great job.
