Woah the photo with your model standing next to the patterned wall and matching patterned cars is really cool! I also really like the photos where she's sitting in a rolly chair in the middle of nowhere. The juxtaposition between her and the landscape is really fun and quirky.
I love the photo of your model against the patterned car and wall! It was a great way to incorporate this weeks theme. Great angles and perspective for your pictures this week.
Karli, Good attempt this week. I have some suggestions. As we move into compositional elements, you have to be more strategic in how you compose your images. That may mean having your model wearing all black, fully body covered clothing so that it makes a stronger contrast against the background. or isolating the subject like the black converse against the white chair. Even the photo with the patterned wall would be made more dynamic with the model were in all white or black, and mimicking the gestures on the wall. Good start this week, moving forward I want you to be even more particular about the images that you shoot. Also, when shooting with such deep depth of field, everything in the image becomes part of the composition, be very careful about your background choices. I would look at examples of the compositional elements and try to dissect why and how they work.

ReplyDeleteLove how you incorporated the chair in your pictures, as well as the pattern wall and cars love the composition, great pics!!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the contrast in your pictures, especially the ones showing her black converse and the patterned blanket!
ReplyDeleteThe first photo has some interesting verticality and asymmetry with the form above the model's head.
ReplyDeleteIt's clear that you were very experimental with different angles and I think this shoot was successful!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Great balance and patterns!
ReplyDeleteThe patterns were very intricate and interesting in the compositions of the photos.
ReplyDeleteI like how you introduced props into these portraits. They add some compositional interest that works really well. Good job!!
ReplyDeleteI really loved these. The rolling chair was such a good prop and who doesn;t love a cold budlight. Well done as always!
