It's amazing how you were able to give life to the orange and make it feel alive. The 8th photo works well with shallow depth of field and I really enjoy the idea of this orange smoking a cigarette enjoying a cup of coffee. Also, the orange may be an alcoholic, but i can't be sure. Great stuff this week.
The first photo is a beautiful synthesis of perspective, depth of field, contrast, and leading lines. Something else thats noteworthy is the wide variety of lighting throughout the images, all of which are mostly successful.
OH MY GOD JENNA I AM CACKLING. The way that you made the orange come to life was beautiful. The choice to only use a mouth and nothing else was a smart one. It made the orange that much more unique and interesting. And despite it not having eyes, I could still feel the different moods based on the way you arranged the food. The eighth photo is my fave. The composition is relatively symmetrical with the circular forms of the orange and cup reflecting one another. And then the contrast between the orange and the light cup just pushes things one step further. Well done!!
Great photos this week! You showed great texture in the close ups of the orange and the cigarette and food. Great use of shallow depth of field. The composition in these photos are very successful.
I feel like the orange could legit talk and eat. I feels real through your photos. You did a great job integrating your prompt in each shot, and i like how you used the cigarette really adds to the composition. I can really feel the texture of the orange and the depth of field was really nice to see. Great comp. elements.
Really enjoying this lil pacman orange friend. There's a lot of interesting play with varying textures in these photos (especially the contrasts between the orange's texture and the texture of the food). I also appreciate how you laid out your photos in a way that told a full story. We really got to know him real good.
i giggled at your fifth photo. although the light, shadows (lack of) and out of focus background initially present sort of conceptually serious atmosphere, you twisted those elements by contrasting it with an orange literally sipping a cappuccino. if that isnt contrast i dont know what is. you also did a great job at isolating the subject in your 8th photo and being consistent with the textures of the orange. i think you were very clever with this photoshoot and you did a great job. i hope u liked ur korean noodle salad lol
My favorite by far is the cigarette one. Great depth of field, with the focus on the swirly cappuccino and smoking orange. Well done
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the way you transformed the orange into a character and it's very expressive despite only having a "mouth".
ReplyDeletethe composition of these pictures really work well! The cigarette one is really interesting because of the depth of field and the framing

ReplyDeleteHaving the slit worked nicely and putting the cigarette in the mouth really personified it. I love the mirror one great depth of field.
