Sierra Labra (W7): The Adventures of Sleepy Caullie

Sleeping Cruciferous Vegetable @ Publix (put some bright up in there as well)

Once upon a time there was a very sleepy Cauliflower named Caullie. Caullie loved to walk around and sleep in different places.

Caullie's favorite place to sleep was Publix and loved to sleep to its other cruciferous buddies (Caullie was afraid of the dark you see).

One day Caullie walked into Publix and a mean young witch came and stop it at the door. "No dirty tumbleweeds are allowed in this store," she shrieked. "But I am a Cauliflower, I belong here!" Caullie exclaimed. The witch dared not listen and instead swept Caullie out of the store.

Hurt and disappointed that it was not welcome in its home, Caullie was now off to find a suitable space to dream Cauliflower dreams.

Caullie searched all around for the perfect place. Some places were too bright and too noisy.

Some places, although they looked spacious and inviting smelled like beer and bad decisions

Caullie searched high.

Caullie searched low

Caullie tried sleeping in a tree like a bird

And was even perched on a bright orange cone in search of sweet, sweet sleep, but to no avail.

Caullie had almost given up trying to sleep when suddenly,

Off in the distance

Could it be? Someone who loves to sleep just as much as Caullie the Cauliflower?

The mysterious stranger sat next to Caullie and they struck up a conversation. Caullie told the girl about the current predicament and Honey (short for Honeydew) told Caullie of a magical place where you could rest and no one would bother you. Honey called it Cushion Castle.

Interested, Caullie asked the newfound friend to lead the way!

Off they went on this spectacular adventure to find a Cushion Castle, a place worthy of a good snooze.

Of course, they took in the sights on the way.

Unfortunately, the journey was not without peril. To get to Cushion Castle you had to pass through, the Marinara Trench. Caullie was terrified, there were rumors that whoever entered the trench was never heard from again. Honey was determined however, to deliver Caullie the best sleep of its cruciferous life. With a swoosh of her blankie cape, she plunged into the Marinara Trench. Caullie held on tightly, but shared the same determination.

It was horrifying, the writings of people who probably died there were all over the walls, how were they going to get out?

Although it was terrifying, the two made it through and at the end of the trench a carpet unfolded in front of them. Displayed on the carpet was the most supple couch either had ever laid eyes on; they had made it to Cushion Castle. It was no Publix produce section, but it was absolutely perfect. Exhausted, both Honey and Caullie collapsed on the couch and fell into the most peaceful and well deserved of sleeps. Caullie having made a new friend and having survived the perils of the day, slept happily ever after.
