Out of all of your photos the 9th one is definitely the strongest. It feels like a true ad for the swimsuit with the lighting, positioning of the model, and overall composition. With your other photos I would try and work on the lighting and focus of your model withing the frame as some of the pictures are blurry. The 5th photo definitely had potential but nothing is in focus, so I would try to focus on the model next time
With such natural lighting, i think you could've done some close ups on the modes body and swim suit to better convey the product. The 5th in the water was my favorite because all the other elements weren't distracting from her and her bikini. I alss enjoyed the sunglasses one, it looked like it was from a mag.
I think overall the compositions are strong but would've benefited with more emphasis on the swimsuit as a garment with texture, as well as keeping the subject in focus.
I agree with what Jenna said that you could have benefited from more emphasis on the swimsuit as some of the shots lose the advertisement sense and kind of feel more like portraits. Some more full body shops with her posing her body in a way that shows off the entirety of the swimsuit would have been a way to pull that off (similar to how the ninth photo is successful because it shows off the entirety of the bikini while posing her in a sexy manner.
The contrast in the sixth picture works really well, and the composition of the ninth picture is nice! Make sure to get your subject in focus
ReplyDeleteI really like the model's expression and the overall happy mood of this shoot.
ReplyDeleteI like how you used your model, and the positioning, and the happiness in the whole swimsuit ad. well done.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate your experimentation with vertical and horizontal compositions & the way the subject interacts with the shapes in the background.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of lighting in all of your photos! The shadows really add to your compositions.
