Great use of quality of light throughout your photos. The contrast between your lamps/windows and the background is very evident. The only thing I would alter would probably be to project more light on the subject so she is more noticeable.
In a sense the fifth photo is more effective as portraiture than the fourth, since the window in the background becomes a singular element and contrasts with the model in a way which frames her well. The sense of theme through these photos was very cohesive and well accomplished.
I enjoy how you used portraiture in these photos, and how these photos are thematic/cohesive. I like the lighting, but in some they are a little to dark, and that could have been lighter in certain aspects.
The lighting creates really interesting pictures! You used isolation of the subject in most of them and the pattern of the windows in the fourth picture work really well
Great use of lighting and contrast in your photos. The intricate patterns of the window contrasted against your model with the fur coat are very successful. #saucy
OooOoo this is a mood. The lighting really complimented the model and theme you were trying to portray. the first photo was a great example of dramatic contrast and mood lighting. Well done
The photos with the windows are the strongest compositionally! They provide a beautiful rim lighting as well as the complex pattern of the architectural window clashing with the model's soft coat.
fAshIonNnNnnnNnnNNnnNNnN mOmAmMAAAAAAAAA !1111111111111!!! sickneng feeeearce werk yas qaqa eeeek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE PICS IN FRONT OF THAT Stained gLASS LoOKIN wiNDOW r UGHHHH!!!!!! There's an interesting interplay between edgy messy qirl and also an inherent innocence associated with that WINDOW. an interesting concept to further explore. Only critique is that they feel a bit repetitive and you could have explore more locations/make it look like she's somewhere else. but tbh idc bc she;s living so im living.
As many people have mentioned, the ghastly quality of light complements the attitude of ur PuNk RoCk subject. Your fifth photo is my favorite, the stained glass behind your subject's head creates almost a holy gothic aesthetic (uuuh sorta like miss from death note I am so sorry) and the low exposure blends the the textures of the booth with your subjects legs to lend more attention to your subjects face. Although i do prefer the pose of and the corner included in the background, it slightly diagonal and not as strong as your 5th. Overall I think you did a super great job capturing this modern church bar goth aesthetic. Quality of light is your strongest compositional element in this photoshoot imo.

ReplyDeleteYour various angles and lighting are really eye catching and even though the model is not always directly lit, there is great emphasis on her.

ReplyDeleteThese photos are so fierce. So badassery and vintage. The mood is perfect and you succeeded at creating it even to the wardrobe choice.

ReplyDeletethe dark lighting works well in these photos to create a dramatic theme and makes your model look very mysterious
