An Vuong Week 10: Sunglasses Ads

Florida weather did me SSSOOO dirty this week. I had a model and everything but canceled because the weather said it was going to thunderstorm for two days straight BUT THEN IT DIDN'T. I CANCELED FOR NOTHING. I was very salty while making these and it probably shows. Oops.

It turns out Ray-Ban's slogan is "Never Hide". They tend to take black and white photos then they slap this slogan over it. I thought I'd try it but yeah, I don't get it either.

This one is a little bit different from all the other ones. I wanted to try out a different font/ aesthetic. Eh.

  2. Your slogans alongside your photo's really make this product appealing for purchase. They're very witty and came across well. The detail in your adventure photo is great and I can really see these as viable ad campaign's for ray-ban. Send that gator FB sucks one to FSU i'm sure they'll love it. Excellent work and these may have even turned out better than a model.

    1. You were rly smart on having so many different ~models~ for your sunglasses as they could definitely get boring and super repetitive . I also really like how you really approached your compositions from a successful graphic design standpoint, really smart work with well thought out font placement/design and logo placement. Gr8 j0b !

  5. The typography makes these pictures really interesting and looks like actual ads in a magazine! The drawings in the eighth picture are super interesting, however, I would have probably turned up the contrast a bit.

  8. The subject matter and placement is kind of ominous but it works as a composition, especially next to the type you included. I would emphasize contrast more next time.
