MARINA BURKE WEEK 11

  1. Your last photo seems to be the strongest conceptually. The way the words on the two separate signs interact with one another is striking. You clearly knew which moments to capture during the march and I can tell that these photos go hand in hand with the experiences you had there. Nice work :)

  2. The usage of angles in your photography is well accomplished, both within the composition and the position of the camera. This is exemplified by the seventh photo. The sixth photo is the most successful from the set due to the way that the photo naturally creates a subject out of the sign, despite all of the other visual elements. Additionally, I love the values in all of your photos, keep it up!

  3. Great theme this week! I think your photos are very strong and I enjoyed reading the signs you chose to photograph. The contrast and framing in your photos is very well done.

  4. I enjoy seeing this theme and they turned out really well. I agree with Marina, I think the last photo was very appealing/capturing with the way the text plays with each other.

  5. The extreme angles/ perspective that you chose to take these photos at really strengthens this protest. Forcing the viewer to see these signs from a lower perspective puts them in the moment. I feel as if I'm there are the protest right now, rising up with everyone in the insurgence. It's powerful. This was a very nice showcase of photojournalism!

  6. The angles used in your pictures work really well! 10/10 ducks in the fifth picture too. Contrast is really evident in the photos with the signs.

  7. Your 7th photo of the building is absolutely stunning. The architecture is amazing contrasted against the almost cloudless sky. I think your photos do a great job of encapsulating the event you attended, great photos.

  10. wow i am shook you really captured this event with all its integrity and even played with it a little with those semi portraits of the ducks and the banners. the leading lines of the banners and the hands reaching toward the sky in your last photo make me want to stand up and take action against the nra. your first and second photo are my favorites and i think you really captured the personality and unity in this march this so god damn great i love u
