Marci Pellissery Week 2

My Top Ten/ distortions

  1. I'm really feeling the shots where you warped the photo of the oyster bar and then the 3 lightbulbs (they're in your top ten images)! From your contact sheets it looks like you did a lot of rotating the camera to play with diagonals and framing. One angle you might consider shooting from would be going from the bottom up. It's my absolute favorite to shoot from for a person. It's great for messing with the viewer's sense of scale because suddenly now the subject is towering above you.

  2. The subject matter vary throughout your top ten, but manage to work cohesively together in a sort of narrative.

  3. Is this St. Augustine by chance? The pictures are beautiful and I really love the 7th photo, the expression on the woman's face looks so natural and happy which is cool to see. Great setup.

  4. I love your candid portraits. Also, I think the framing of the 8th photo is really successful. You created some really interesting diagonal lines. Great photos!

  5. The strongest photos are definitely the bird on the fort and the texture you captured with the last photo. Additionally, even through the strong editing I can feel an intuitive sense of composition on those photos, which is a good sign!

  6. I really like how you used the photos to document your adventures with friends. The expression of the guy with the guitar is so peaceful and candid!
